Core Values of Cornerstone

We love the Bible

We believe that the Bible is the ultimate authority for salvation and that individuals are transformed through the teaching, reading, and application of God’s Word.  Psalm 119:11, 2 Timothy 3:16, Hebrews 4:12

We love to pray

We believe that intimacy with God is increased and the power of the Holy Spirit is unleashed as we depend on God through sincere communication with Him.  2 Chronicles 7:14,

Ephesians 6:18, Philippians 4:6

We love dynamic, God-centered worship

We believe the focus of our worship is to glorify God.  We desire corporate worship that leads us to engage our whole being – our mind, will and emotions, drawing us into the presence of God.  Psalm 95:6-7, Psalm 100, Romans 12:1

We love to build up disciples

We believe in the importance of challenging one another to become more and more like Christ through loving accountability.  In turn, each disciple repeats the process with others, thus building up God's house stone by stone.  Proverbs 27:17, Matthew 28:18-20

We love to serve together as a team

We believe we are all empowered by the Holy Spirit to help each member of the body discover and continually use their God-given spiritual gifts.  1 Corinthians 12, Ephesians 4:11-13, 16, 1 Peter 4:10

We love each other

We believe that God created us for relationships, and we commit ourselves to building deep, life-changing bonds between us.  Our goal is to strengthen and support existing families and to be a family to those without one.  John 13: 34-35, Ephesians 2:19-20, Hebrews 10:24

We love to populate Heaven

We believe in equipping believers to share their faith in the community, the work place, and the world so that all people can grow into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.  Luke 5:30-32, 1 Thessalonians 2:8

We love to plant new churches

We believe starting new churches is both an effective and an essential method of spreading the Gospel.  Cornerstone Church is committed to continually creating opportunities for all people to have a vital relationship with God.  Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 1:7-8
