We thank God for bringing Pastor Chris and his family to Cornerstone!

Introduction
Pastor Chris Bozung is Cornerstone's first full-time pastor. He and his wife, Johnna, moved to Cedar Rapids from Virginia Beach, Virginia in September 2002 with their 4 children, Christian, Arriana, Cashmira, and Chase.

Education
Pastor Chris has a BS in Bible from Philadelphia Biblical University (1984), a Master of Theology in Academic Ministries (Concentration in Bible exposition) from Dallas Seminary (1992) and a Doctorate of Ministry in Leadership and Renewal from Regent University (2001).

Spiritual Gifts
Pastor Chris' primary spiritual gift and major strength is the ability to teach the Word of God with a passion for our Savior.  He considers himself foremost a teacher.  This comes through in every area of his ministry and he thoroughly enjoys being used of God in this way.  He prefers expository preaching, yet he also believes in taking every opportunity to utilize creative approaches in communicating the life-changing power of Scripture, including drama, song, poetry, story and the like.

His second spiritual gift is administration, supplemented by the skills necessary to lead, motivate, and cast vision.  Pastor Chris is a "people person" and one of his strengths is the ability to communicate to people that they are important, loved, and needed.

Vision
Pastor Chris' vision is to utilize these gifts and talents to serve Christ as effectively as he can in order to bring Him the greatest glory.  He thanks God for giving him life and being, a heart to love Him, a vision for His will, the motivation to grow, the constant desire to serve Him, a passion for His Word, a passion for people, and above all, a passion to know Him more deeply.
